The Baltimore Banner, Baltimore, Maryland Reporter Intern

June 2023 – August 2023

 In this role, David Lance researches, conducts interviews, writes, and produces stories for readers of the Baltimore Banner. As a result of my work:  I had 12 articles published by the Baltimore Banner

Maryland Senate, Office of Senator Cory McCray, Annapolis, Maryland Paid Intern

January 2022 – April 2022

 In this role, David Lance was responsible for drafting the arguments Senator McCray uses to introduce and advance his legislative bills. This involves researching the issues and then crafting the language believed to garner legislators’ support. Furthermore, Mr. Lance drafts other correspondence for Senator McCray’s use and staffs him at various committee meetings. As a result of my work, Senator McCray had: Introduced 7 bills that I helped to draft

WEAA Radio, Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland Reporter Intern

August 2021 – December 2021

 In this role, David Lance researched, wrote, edited, voiced, reported and produced stories for WEAA listeners. This involved using multimedia tools to edit audio clips, do voice overs, and packaging the stories for airtime. As a result of my work: I had 65 stories receive airtime and was selected to attend President Biden’s Baltimore visit
