Bio
How I Got Here
David entered Morgan State University as an architecture major, but switched majors when he wasn’t doing too well in his core classes.
He credits his switch to journalism as one of the best decisions of his life.
David has worked for various publications such as the Baltimore Banner, The Afro, WEAA, and the MSU Spokesman. He has also done policy communication work at the Maryland State Senate Office under Senator Cory McCray.
David graduated with honors from Morgan with a degree in mutlimedia journalism and currently works with the Baltimore Banner. He is also a member of NABJ and MSUABJ.
He has developed a love for writing on issues in the black community, as well as sports journalism.
“Journalism has given me the chance to be creative, to tell a story on what I feel people need to know. I hope to shine more light on the black community and make sure our stories are told correctly.”
